How auctions work on Callisto Marketplace
Callisto Marketplace offers two types of auctions: live auctions and silent auctions.
Live auction – All the bidding activity is done is public, so you will be able to see if you’re winning or losing the lot.
Silent auction – All bidding activity is done in secret, so you will only know if you are the highest bidder after the auction has ended.
How to place a bid
To place a bid on an auction, you need to be a registered and verified user of Callisto Marketplace. If you are not a user yet, you can contact our Callisto team and they will give you all the background you need and take your details for our external verification.
Once you are a user, you can log in to your account and browse the available auctions. You can view the details of each lot, such as the product name, model, grade, quantity, condition, and photos, before placing your bid. You can also filter the auctions by category, location, supplier, and grade.
To place a bid, simply enter the amount you are willing to pay for the lot and click on the bid button.
You can monitor your bids and the status of the auctions on your dashboard. You can also increase your bid any time before the auction ends.
What happens when you win an auction?
If you are the highest bidder at the end of the auction and the reserve price is met, you will win the lot. You will then receive an email confirmation with the invoice and the payment instructions.
You need to pay for your lot within 24 hours of receiving the invoice. Once the payment is confirmed, we will ship your lot to your address within 24 hours. You can track your shipment on your dashboard.
